Logo
Two marks. The primary mark (copper isometric cube with khatam on the top face) introduces the product to first-time viewers — the cube reads as the familiar BIM-tool category silhouette; the khatam elevates it from "another box icon" to LocusBIM specifically. The khatam-only mark is the brand emblem — used where the brand needs to be recognized at a glance by users who already know LocusBIM. The rule of thumb: cube where product clarity matters, khatam where brand recognition matters.
Horizontal lockup
Wordmark + cube combination. Used in navigation bars, email signatures, and anywhere the product name needs to read horizontally alongside the mark. "Locus" renders in the primary text token; "BIM" in the copper accent.
Small sizes
Below 32 pixels the cube doesn't survive — geometry compresses to mud. The khatam alone remains recognizable down to 16 pixels.

Color
A single signature color — blueprint copper — carries the brand. Used for primary CTAs, the brand mark, active states, the khatam pattern stroke, and loader strokes. Drafting blue is a secondary accent for prose links and information callouts. Everything else is the warm neutral system. All values pass WCAG 2.2 AA contrast on their intended pairings.

Typography
Two typefaces. Inter handles all UI surfaces and body text — it reads cleanly at small sizes and handles French diacritics (which matters for Quebec users). Source Serif 4 is reserved for marketing display: H1s on the home, pricing, and blog surfaces. The serif-on-marketing, sans-on-product split signals craft without making the product feel ornamental.
Built for how you actually work.
Coordination across PDFs, models, and the people who need them.

04
Khatam pattern
The signature geometric element. An eight-pointed star drawn from Andalusian and Mughal geometric tradition, used as an architectural element — sidebar panels, section dividers, decorative columns — never as wallpaper or background texture. The treatment is closer to how Islamic architecture itself deploys geometry: a deliberate component within a larger composition, not flat ornament.
The pattern stays in copper. It appears at three density variants depending on context — denser on primary marketing surfaces, lighter inside the product, minimal on email and pricing secondary surfaces.
05
Motion & loaders
Two loader patterns extend the khatam visual language into motion. The indeterminate loader is a counter-rotating dual star — two khatam stars rotating at different speeds and directions so the overall figure is never in a previously-seen state. Motion stays legible. The determinate loader is a chain of eight, twelve, or sixteen stars filling in sequence. Both respect prefers-reduced-motion.
06
Inline glyphs
Two khatam-derived inline marks extend the geometric vocabulary into typography. The wedge — the east-pointing cardinal of the khatam, isolated — replaces forward arrows everywhere they appear in the product. The dot — the inner star at micro scale — replaces inline separators between metadata items. One vocabulary; one mark per meaning.

Usage
Permitted
- Editorial coverage — AEC trade press, product reviews, integration announcements, conference programs.
- Partner / marketplace listings — CAD plugin authors, DMS connector authors, integration partners describing LocusBIM compatibility.
- Educational use — university coursework, conference talks, technical presentations referencing the product.
- "Built with LocusBIM" / "Compatible with LocusBIM" attribution.
Not permitted
- Don't recolor the khatam to anything other than copper. The stroke color is part of the identity.
- Don't add a glow, drop-shadow, or outer-stroke effect to either mark. The marks are designed flat.
- Don't tilt, rotate, or skew the marks.
- Don't place the cube without the khatam, or modify the cube faces.
- Don't combine the khatam-only mark with the wordmark.
- Don't imply LocusBIM endorsement of a product or service without prior written agreement.
- Don't use the marks in a way that disparages LocusBIM or its customers.

Each file is SVG — scalable, accessible (every mark carries role="img" and aria-label="LocusBIM"), and small. For rasterized formats (PNG, ICO, ICNS) we recommend rsvg-convert or ImageMagick at your target size. Email press@locusbim.com if you need a specific raster size delivered.
